1 Bedroom Apartments for Rent

When I went off to college, first thing I had to do was to find an apartment. I had thought about living in the dorms or living with other roommates, but I felt that it was probably not a good idea. I am a very particular person and I usually tend not to get along with other people. So it would probably be best if I found 1 bedroom apartments for rent where I can live by myself. Although this would cost me more money, it is probably the best for me. To pay for the apartment, I would have to get a part time job while going to school.

To look for these one bedroom apartments, I first started out by looking at the bulletin boards on the college campus. They have flyers everywhere advertising apartments for rent. I grabbed a couple of flyers. Next I went online and used websites like craigslist and rent.com to help me. Rent.com is easy to use because you can put in the type of apartment that you want. So I put that I wanted a 1 bedroom apartment. I got a whole bunch of results from that search. I then narrowed it further by putting in the maximum rent that I was willing to pay. Eventually I was able to whittle down the number of apartments to a select few.

The apartment that I want has to be close to a bus line. That way I can easily get a ride to school. It would also be nice if a shopping plaza was nearby so that I could buy my groceries. Location is really important when you go apartment hunting. Another aspect you want to look at is the complex itself. Notice the type of people living there. Are these people friendly? Are there suspicious characters hanging around? Obviously, you would want to live in a good area. For me it is important since I will be living all by myself. Taking all these considerations into account, I was able to find the right apartment for me.
